Investment Director, High-Tech Gründerfonds
Caroline is an investment director at High-Tech Gründerfonds, Europe’s largest early-stage Venture Capital fund, supporting a portfolio of biotech and medtech start up companies and representing the fund in the companies´ boards. Furthermore, she is responsible for the selection, analysis and negotiation of new investments.
Caroline studied biology at the Universities of Muenster and Bochum, Germany. She did her PhD in Biophysics at the University of Duesseldorf, Germany, and participated in a study program in economics at FernUniversity of Hagen, Germany.
As a PostDoc at the Max Planck Institute for Bioinorganic Chemistry, she worked in the field of hydrogen production by microorganisms. Furthermore, she gained professional venture capital experience when screening business plans and performing technical due diligences in the life sciences at PolyTechnos Venture-Partners in Munich, Germany.
